Talking about our Medical Gastroenterologist, he’s none other than our Padmashree and Padmabushan awardee Dr. Nageshwar Reddy. Dr. Reddy has received the highest honor from the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), “The Rudolf V. Schindler” award which made him the 1st Indian Medical Practitioner to receive this recognition for his immense contribution in the field of Gastroenterology. He also received many such felicitations from all the corners of the world.
Dr. Reddy has been shaping the future of many young and upcoming endoscopy aspirants across the globe with his vast knowledge in Gastroenterology. He is the first Indian Doctor who promoted Endoscopy in India which ultimately led to a great renaissance in the field of Gastroenterology.
On the other hand along by his side, one of our Nation’s most renowned and celebrated surgeons in Gastroenterology. He is our Nation’s pride and his service to the field of Gastroenterology is immeasurable. He’s our most eminent Surgical Gastroenterologist, Dr. GV Rao. It’s our honor to say that Dr. GV Rao received over 15 felicitations from various Institutions across the globe for his great indulgence in the field of Gastroenterology. Dr GV Rao, Director, chief of surgical gastroenterology, minimally invasive surgery and transplantation services at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, received the prestigious “Dr BC Roy National Award” from President “Pranab Mukherjee” in New Delhi, on the occasion of National Doctors Day for his diligent services in the field of Gastroenterology.
